Adam Lewkovitz
Senior AI Product Leader · New York, NY

Summary

Senior product leader who pairs consumer instinct with real technical depth in AI. 20 years driving acquisition, conversion, retention, and revenue for products used by hundreds of millions at Amazon, Marriott, Walgreens, and U.S. Bank. Four years at Google, now owning the grounding and factuality platform: the evals that qualify generative AI before it ships across Search and Gemini, and the citations that corroborate its answers. I set a high bar for craft, prototype in my own AI workflow, and run a global, multi-team area through agents.

Experience

Senior Product Manager Jan 2022 – Present

Google · New York

  • Sole PM on a 30-engineer team making generative AI trustworthy enough for Google to ship: the grounding and factuality behind AI answers across Search and Gemini, used by billions and built on by 20+ product teams.
  • Grounding: corroborate the model's claims with citations (verifiable evidence behind each AI answer), cutting ungrounded responses 50% (30%→15%) and running in real time (120s → under 20s).
  • Factuality evals: the bar new Gemini models and AI features must clear to ship. Our autorater and eval agents (LLM-as-judge, at Google scale) measure accuracy before launch and feed model training, contributing to 16% fewer factuality errors across Search.
  • Multimodal: extending grounding to images and video, verifying claims about non-text content, where visual search (Lens) is growing fastest.
  • Use agents to run my product area solo: they handle the busywork, so I prototype, ship, and iterate fast, pairing product taste with the technical depth to launch AI products people love and trust.

Point of View

"Implementation is no longer the rate-limiter; good ideas are. The new bottleneck is taste, judgment, and customer understanding."
